You can obtain a short kit or an ARC of the Panzer from Zimpro marketing. Just email Dennis Hunt for price list and details. Here is his email address: [email protected].

RE: Rich Brand's Tiger Panzer
Here are some rather poor scans of the Spitpanzer plan and a couple of shots of the Tiger Panzer.
Rich was a Hunter pilot in the Rhodesian Air Force and emigrated to the USA where he became, I believe, a corporate pilot for Bill Bennett, owner of Circus Circus in Las Vegas. Wonder where he is now?

Thanks Ray. Your magazine collection belongs in the Smithsonian.
I knew Rich was from Rhodesia, but I didn't know the rest. Wasn't Tony Bonetti with Circus Circus back in the Tournament of Champions days? Maybe he knows what became of Rich.

This may be a clue as to what Rich is up to these days. Owned by Richard J Brand and named Panzer One.

RE: Rich Brand's Tiger Panzer
Hi there,
yes, my all time favourite since I was a young boy. Some fellows here in germany made short kits of the Spit Panzer, but it was always called "Speed-Panzer" - since it was quite fast for it day. I met Hanno Prettner about 2 years ago and he explained to me the real name and that Rich Brand was the pilot and designer.
Flew mine Speed-Panzer last saturday.... still like it a lot!

How about that. Great to see that Rich Brand's designs are still being built but if I ever get around to making a Spitpanzer it would have to be a tail dragger with retracts and a Spitfire type color scheme.
There was also a "Hurripanzer" but I don't think any plans were ever published.

Obviously a Spinks Akromaster (and its color scheme) blended with Brands typical Spit Panzer lines - Akropanzer. Like it! There you have the taildragger your are thinking of...
My Speed Panzer was airborne this week after more than one year sleeping in the hangar.

The Thunder Panzer rocks.. I scratched built one and made it with a plug in wing and it had a OS91 4 stroke at 6 1/2 pounds... motor was way to much Wish I never sold it.
