RE: Kirkland Nutcracker Pattern Plane
My introduction to R/C aerobatics was at the World Championships in Doylestown, PA when Mr. Sugawara was in attendance. I was so overwhelmed with the activity and contest therewas no way to remember all of the contestants. The American team, yes but only after being reminded. What a treat to see first hand. This year the US (AMA) will host the Worldsand this should notbe missed; followingtheWorldsis the 2011 NationalPattern Championships, also something notto be missed.
Thanks for the information on Mr. Sugawara modelname.

If I remember correctly Mr. Sugawana called it Shudder. I've never seen a kit or plans for it though.

His plane was named Fuji and was kitted by MK. I have another MK kit (Blue Angel 60, 1973 WC version) and on the kit box it is photo also on the MK Fuji.
Fuji 60 kit (MK kit) was sold by Simprop also in Europe.
I got in contact with a person some time ago that has a MK Fuji 60 plan and he promised he would make a copy of the plan when he had time.
When I get the copy I will make a scan so it wil be avaliable in digital format (TIF and PDF).

Bem,
Was able to get one of the Wing Mfg Nutcracker kits and in the process of gathering all of the material to finish. Looking at it but so many other things afoot presently keeps me from moving forward. Would appreciate seeing the scan of the original design and hope you are able to provide.
Regards,
Mike

RE: Kirkland Nutcracker Pattern Plane
Hi,
I know people have wondered what color Jim Kirkland had on his own Nutcracker.
One person posted that info at rcgroups today.
Orange, dark blue (and white I assume).

Hello Bo in Sweden, Do you still have, in pdf format, the plan for Mr Sugawara’s Fuji 60 kitted by MK? If so please email it to me at [email protected]. I need it for my file on Jim Kirkland’s Nutcracker pattern R/C plane. Cordially, Fred Carnes, Shalimar, Florida, USA.
