Newbie trim question
I am in the process of trimming my Venus II w/120AX servos mounted in the rear. I have laterally balanced the airplane thats worked out well. Right now I'm working on the CG and at this point I have reached the rearward point of the recommended range.
When the airplane is inverted it takes quite a bit of down elevator to fly level. My question is do I continue to move the CG aft, or is there another method like maybe adding downthrust. I don't mind some degree of down pressure, but certainly less than I have now.

RE: Newbie trim question
be sure and ask on the regular (modern) pattern forum also. there are plenty of guys here with the appropriate knowledge but you might find someone with the exact same plane on the other pattern forum. unfortunately, i am more of a builder than a flyer so i have no other advice available.

RE: Newbie trim question
Assuming your plane flys straight and level virtually hands-off when upright (no wind), the need for more than "slight" down elevator inverted is usually an issue of CG, decalage, or thrust. If the CG is where it should be and the angles between wing and stabilizer are are correct, the engine thrust line would be the next area to examine.
