Gee wiz I keep finding more gold on this plane. SO glad to have found this old thread. I am building the P63 from hobby helpers plans and I was going to modify the aileron hinges but had worried about that. Now I am confident I can change it without worry.
I received the sterling plans from another builder and there are quite a bit of differences I am finding as I build on.

After many years of looking for a kit, I recently aquired a NIB kit. Perhaps I'll build it next winter.

Ridiculous, one could build it from plans with Sig contest balsa for less and have a much better flying model.

I also acquired one, but could use a new set of plans. Where are they available?

They're available here;

The plans published in American Modeler and later made into the Sterling kit are available from AMA.

BELL P 63 KINGCOBRA 70" AMERICAN MODELER 3/62, HESTER $23.00 plan #23838

Looking for a set of plans for the Sterling Aircobra. Anyone have a set or a PDF I can download.
