RE: looking for source - balsa sheets cut in mm thickness
I have in my workshop balsa cutted in "mm" (which I buy in my LHS) and also sheets which I buy in Tower Hobbies. You can always find almost perfect fit for all measures which would be:
3/32" = 2,38 mm (use it instead of 2 mm balsa)
1/8" = 3,175 mm (use it instead of 3 mm balsa)
3/16" = 4,76 mm (use it instead of 5 mm balsa)
1/4 " = 6,35 mm (use it instead of 6 mm balsa
3/32" = 2,38 mm (use it instead of 2 mm balsa)
1/8" = 3,175 mm (use it instead of 3 mm balsa)
3/16" = 4,76 mm (use it instead of 5 mm balsa)
1/4 " = 6,35 mm (use it instead of 6 mm balsa

thanks Marian,
I should have some laser cut parts for the MK Curare soon, I will just get a set of parts cut and see how everything fits and take it from there. I think it's less of an issue regarding my build...
I am trying to avoid adjusting the cad drawings for the laser cutter. With the laser kerf and such I may not need to adjust the CAD vectors.
thanks, dean

i'm sure 8178 would have a more experienced opinion than i do but on my blue angel build from plans i used the closest wood size i could find and all went well.
