I have in my possession a PDF copy of the "Holy Grail". Three cheers to Ben Strasser for taking the time and effort to make this classic available once again. It can be found here:

THIS IS GREAT NEWS

The RCM VOL II, is a great book, with a lots of good, basic information on aerobatics, yet not so technical or detailed that you get lost in the process of trying to learn. You are given the basics, some good diagrams, (and now some history). My father and I got both volumes, (the basic and advanced volumes dealing with aerobatics....I still have them, but the Vol II was lost for a time), but I spent most of my time as a young guy in the Vol II.)

We have an SPA contest coming up in Asheville in a few months, and I think I'll offer a few copies as raffle prizes.

It's great the way this worked out; sometimes just a little "push on the door" opens things up. That's how we got the World Models Intruder re-released.

Thanks for pursuing this

The RC Aerobatic Holy Grail-FOund!

Update: Ben Strasser interview is in the June 2009 "Classic pattern-Trader"!

I have been working on the first issue of the "Classic Patten-Trader" and considering the life long inspiration that Ben Strasser's RCM volume II has given me...it is perfect that he is the first interview. Although I have written many columns for newsletters, I have never created one and it has been quite interesting and challenging.

I will seek assistance to turn it into a PDF file and also have arranged for it to be posted at a number of model airplane commercial locations for downloading.

My thread "Treasures lost, treasures found...more than enough to go around" has been removed by the thread police of RCU.

Just read the interview this morning over coffee in the sun.

A great read reminding me of days bygone - nicely done Rusty!

I'm dure the CP-T will become a great source to many a modeler of these fine aircraft.

I am about 80% finished with a Miss Norway it is built from plans from RCM. I have had to make changes as I went along as the plans are not 100% correct and the parts do not fit as shown. I still have to make the canopy mold and epoxy it then paint it . This airplane was not very hard to build but lots of carving and sanding I hope to have it finished for our February S.P.A. contest or I will have to use my faithful Koas jr.

Don,

Are You going to make a "clear" canopy for Miss Norway? If so and if You are willing to make one canopy more I'm interested to buy one clear canopy (or was it green or blue clear canopy on the orginal Miss Norway?).

regards,
Bo
