Default Old Magazine Ads

I thought that it would be fun to start a thread that featured old magazine ads or pictures. If you have any to add, please do! Here's a few to get the ball rolling.

Great idea. This could become my favorite thread. I should really buy a scanner, although I don't have many magazines left from the glory days.

Airbusdrvr,

that would be correct. In fact I think it's an US 40 given that it appears to be the metallic charcoal and silver trim one (I actually have a bunch of those flyers from back when GP would throw them into their kits). The next picture posted by 8178 is a page on that inside of that catalog showing the Tiporare, the Illusion and the Dirty Birdy. The first two were, I believe, the first two glass pattern kits sold by GP after they bought them from Bill at WK hobbies.

The King Altair. Dunno, but the mag is around here somewhere. My problem is, if something lays around long enough, and I don't get it to a secure place, my wife gives it a heave ho. I have to get stuff to my shop. She even throws away my old shoes.
I will see if the mag is in the shop somewhere.

Crank- you made me laugh! Our wives must be sisters. Anything of mine that comes into the kitchen/family area has about 2 days grace and once expired, might never see it again! Makes my back shop seem at times like a "container" which incendentally holds a 50yr collection of model mags, mostly complete...just need a scanner. Hopefully soon...

I think it is a 'female thing'. Even better, is when something disappears and I get blamed... I get in trouble for not throwing anything away and then when something is missing - well, you know the story

Yeah, I heard that marriage is a relationship between two people where one of them is always right and the other is the husband.

Thread has been pretty quiet lately, so here's some more.

This one is from the '68 Nats held at Wright Patternson, I was there as a kid at the tender age of 12. My father competed in this one. Notice the pic in the upper left. I've known Pete Reed all of my life. I used to cut his grass when his family went on vaction. My father and him were good pals. They even worked at the same factory!
