Default Top FLite Kwik Fli III Wing

I've been building a Top Flite Kwik Fli III off and on for a while and I'm starting to look at the wing. The kit has the cardboard jig to build the wing on. The construction of the wing is taylored to use this jig as the kit contains the full-width wing skins. Does anybody have any experience using the cardboard jig to build the KF wing? Or would I be better off using an Ajust-O-Jig to build the wing? If using the Ajust-O-Jig, the construction sequence would have to be changed and only the top of the wing could be sheeted while in the jig. I'd like to hear from you guys, all pros & cons welcome!

Hey Rick,

Cool! That's a bit like the lost foam technique for building wings. Instead of using the shucks as a template, you use a cardboard jig. I'd give it a shot for fun.

Pete (~ rv7drvr) recently built a KF-III so he might have some suggestions.

David.

P.S. BTW, I should have some Aurora 25, BA 20 and Mattlas 20 kits coming soon so there will be some more canopies in store. I also have a Mystic 30 canopy and I hope to add that model to the conservation project along with a Supra Fly 25 - both from OK Models. Two more Hanno designs. I hope to push a little further on the conservation project this month.

Dunno why I do that...

It feels as though the Dalo, CAP and UFO are coming together though!

Actually, your plate seems rather full as of late as well!

David.
