Yep Flywilly
I looked at other post that had LA-1 photos and it does look like the fuse.. now maybe I can find parts or plans to maybe build it or at least sell it!
Thanks!

Hey Frequent
Some of the replys I got and what I have seen on other post ... it does look like a LA-1 ... If you are interested make me an offer and you can have it! Otherwise I wouldn't mind trying to find some plans and or parts to finish it.. Let me know..
Thanks

Sorry if you misunderstood me, I don't buy , folks send me planes and I bear the cost of making a mold and send you your fuselage back. Just to keep all of these old designs alive and available to everyone.
Thanks anyhow

That is a LA-1 designed by Geoff Combs... I flew several of these and then went to the LA-2's I have the plans and manuals and the plugs / molds for both of these planes...
I hope to be manufacturing soon with 20 other classic pattern planes... we are redoing the shop so we can make more room for oven and glass area.

RE: 1991 Desire 60
Thanks Scott
Maybe if I decide to keep it I could get the items I need to finish it from you.
I have been to your field in Knoxville along time ago .. that is if it is the one off Pelissippi Hwy over looking the river or lake?
I am a member of the Nolicuckey R/C Club located on Hwy 107 in Greeneville.
Thanks to all that have helped me ID this plane...

Neil,
The LA-1 was a great flying plane, I did mine as a taildragger and had a OS61 pumped rear exhaust on mine.....
it is a easy plane to build !
Yep that is the KCRC site...

Did you mean Mistress? Dave Von Linsowe's design? I believe the Mistress came first. There may be 'Mistress' influence on the LA-1 design as Dave and Geoff are from the same district and probably saw each other frequently at contests. I built 4 Mistresses and there are several differences - the most obvious being the angled leading edge of the rudder on the Mistress.
Keep us informed Scott, the LA-1 was a great flying airplane! Can you produce a mold from plans (for the glass kit) of the Mistress?

Hello every one,
I am finishing a LA-2 Geoff Comps Designe and I do not have the CG on this plain. Also I realice that this plain needs a lot of counterweight to keep it on its tricycle. Is ther anybody who can give me some info on this.
Many thanks
Mike
