Dam, it's looking doubtful for me Gary. I just got back last night, been in travel mode since July 5 and am beat, in addition to having to fix flood damage at my hide-away. Still have the room reserved though andgoing to see how I feel tonight. If I miss out I'm going to B'ham, come hell or high water.

Mark,
I have been lax in my mailings, decals are on the bench in an envelope but I'm on a trip. I meant to mail them so you could proudly affix them to Das Kaos for the contest, lo, I am pathetic.
I'll get them to you next week.

RE: BPA Huntsville Alabama 2010
Thanks Chris. I was not able to make it to H'ville. The weather here on Wed. delayed my getting home by several hours and by the time I would've been ready, I'd be driving 10 hours on two hours of sleep to get there late Friday. Funny thing is, thirty years ago I'd have gone, today I'm a bit more careful I guess. Anyhow, I'm going to get to one more before the year's out. Hope to see you at one too. Later.

I got my YS 61 apart only discover some culture of white crap growing in the motor! Front and rear bearings were embedded with it. The crank shaft had a mess of it inside too. I have no idea how the thing ran at all. Thanks Mike fore the bearings! As of 9:30 pm it is running!! Hopefully tomorrow the day goes smoother for me. Great job to the club for sure for having Gatoraid and such on hand all day.
Thanks,
Jim

RE: BPA Huntsville Alabama 2010
Jay tony will post some pics soon I hope.
18 flyers
No novice this year[&o]
8 masters
4 sportsman
the rest advanced
Note to those that have BPA type aircraft and dont fly them all th time BEARINGS will go bad just siting. Several folks have had bearing issues. Unfortunate for some. I'm sure storage with a good quality after run oil could prevent some of this.
I had to replace my bearings before going to Rusty's event in near CHI town this year. My bearings went bad just sitting.

Gregg,
There were plenty of airplanes being shared or you could have just brung something even if it maybe, kinda, coulda done most of the maneuvers. As VanPutte will tell you, I never even got close to a maybe, kinda, coulda Figure M all day!!
I think Gary will back me up on this, even though the main theme of this contest was BPA pattern, a larger theme was having FUN. All through the day there was equal amounts of laughter from the pilots, their callers (I passed a gall stone during one of Houston Schweitzer's Cuban 8's. . ), and even the judges. The timing of this contest is perfect, right after the Nats in a format that's laid back enough for anyone to show up and have a great time.
For anyone that missed this, mark it down on your calendars for next year and get the P-7 ARF on order from Horizon!!

Great pictures Keith!! Also, Tony C. took a picture of Scott Smith's and Gary's plane (piloted by Ryan M.), flying formation! Ryan was doing the Triangle Rolling Loops, and Scott was doing the 6-sided loop. Thanks for all the help and to Gary, Tony, and Club for hosting the event!!

I had a great time too. My World Models Intruder 90R was used by Houston Schweitzer and me. He wanted to enter the Master class with me, but I made him enter Advanced, so I wouldn't be beaten by a kid with my own airplane. It was fun as usual and I enjoyed everything but the heat and Keiths attempts at the Figure M. I have never seen many of the versions that he came up with.
