Just a note to say a very big THANK YOU to David and Jim Georgeson for snapping all the pictures that you guys are seeing.
Also if you recall seeing the fine digital start clock at the start /finish line, David Georgeson made this !! It even has a remote control start and reset on it. Very fine work you do David!!!

Still waiting on Ed to post results .........

Thanks John,

Even though this was the second race for my clock, it was the first one that I got to see it in action. Now that I have, I was able to see some things that were not perfect yet. I have been working on some improvements/ upgrades to at least 3 different areas on the clock. I will let everyone know what I come up with when I am finished, (or earlier because I might need an opinion on one thing.)

David

I'm still trying to figure out this new system on RCU, so I appologize for not saying THANK YOU sooner. Thanks to Ed Waldrop, Rick and Kim Grim
Dave and Jim Georgeson, all the WAAM workers, and everyone responsible for the pictures. Thanks too, to the contestants, especially those from out of state (Texas, Indiana, and Mississippi) for making it a true East/ West Shootout. Greg

Now, if we can get this reported in the AMA magazine........

Thanks to all who worked and participated in this race. I had a good time even though I did not do well at all. A jumped start along with a cut in my first heat followed by a midair in the second heat finished my day early. With the level of competition that we had, a zero was just about the death bell and TWO zeros was! Oh well, I had fun and managed to bring home a second place finish in EF-1, only because I was luckier than the person that came in third........no talent, just luck.

After the race, we had a quick CD meeting and have decided that from now on we will be hosting EF-1 racing at our Club 40 race'es. The EF-1 planes fly BETTER than the Club 40 planes. They do cost considerably more though. I built my E-flite Shoestring in one evening, test flew it the next day (two quick flights) and then entered my first race.

Thanks for posting the results Ed.

And congrats to Gary Fisher of Texas for the big win. Its also worth noting that "Old Bob" Petrinic was tied even with Gary all day in points until the A Main race.

I see I need to stop eating donuts
