RE: May 11 race, Seymour, In
At the end of six rounds, we printed out the pilots ordered by points and by fastest times. We used the times to establish two three-plane Mains and a flour-plane Main. In the C Main were Matthew Fornefeld, Bill Hayes and Don Brandenburg. The B Main pilots were Steve Smith, Ken Erickson and Al Oertle. The A Main , four planes, was made up of Tim Sparks, who had the fastest time of the day, Clint Seyer, David Comenzind and Justin Drake.
For a short period of time, it looked like Dan Brandenburg, sho had crashed his only plane, would not make it into the C Main. Bill Hayes, who was there for his first race and flying against Don in the C, loaned him the plane he had been flying all day and brought out his backup for himself to fly. After all guys, it is just a game. Matt was first, Don second, and Bill finished third.
Steve and Ken traded the lead many times in the B Main. It looked like Steve had it won, but Ken caught up on the last turn. They crossed the linw so close together that no one knew which of them was first. The stop watches gave Ken a .o4 second lower time, so he was declared first place. Steve was thus second and Al was Third.
In the A Main, Clint Seyer pulled off the win, followed by Justin Drake, Tim Sparks and David Comenzind.
I have only posted the Fast Times report. The points totals are in the last column. Everybody has opinions, but I believe doing the Mains by Fast Times resultsa in much better/more exiting Races.
Our next race is Saturday, June 1st in (just east of) Columbus, IN. We hope to see some of you.

It is there, John. You are invited to come up and look for it.
Actually, the next race is June 1st. It will be at Columbus. We have trees about 500 feet the other sid eof the pylons. Easier to find.
