Looking forward to it!  Are there any hotels that you recommend which are close to the field?  I've never been to Hico before and thought I'd ask..
Thanks,
David

Hico Hills Inn 254-796-4217. Older motel, but appears clean on outside. A flyer last year stayed there and said it was fine, but not fancy. Let's race. charleskrempin

Hi Charles, I will be there with Gary, Ken and Randy. I also think Jeffery Large from Dallas will be coming.

Good grief.. I completely forgot I have a trip out of the country already paid for next weekend. I've been excited looking forward to finally seeing the Field of Dreams and getting to race with all of you again....
Guess I'll see you guys at the next race, for sure!
Hope you guys have a great time!
David

Another great race at Hico! Congratulations to Steven Fabianke it was another good race in the books! The Hico crew did a great job running the show and the pizza was a great idea that hit the spot! Charles check you’re a main sheet on the times because I think Steve’s time in the A main was 1:38.41 my quick time was 1:40.47 that would make him quick time!

Thanks Gary for the kind words. You are exactly correct in that Steve did have the fast time of the day. Please bring your plaque to the next race on July 20th and the correct one will be given to Steve. You both ran a great race in the finals. Let's race. charleskrempin

Thanks Gary, but you should keep the plaque. It clearly shows that you had the fastest time with a 1:36, but because of the cut, 10 sec was added on.

Your bad luck was my good luck. There was a lot of good, close racing that day and I was lucky to finish on top.

Just the camaraderie of all the flyers and the Buzzard Busters club makes for a very enjoyable time. Can't wait for the next.

Maybe we'll see you at the Q-25 race Saturday the 29th.

Bob and I really wanted to come up and run the Q-25’s but they have it scheduled on next weekend and that is the big pattern event at our field! Bob and I will be helping out all weekend and I think Bob is flying in it!

Squidman we would love to come to the Q-25, but as Gary said we have a two day pattern contest at our club this weekend and I am flying in it. It’s only right that we support our club events, but we hope to be at the next Q-25 Race.
Ray Thompson sent me that Magnum 25. I had to put a new connecting rod in it and it seems to run pretty good. I can’t wait to see if it is competitive, I haven’t flown it yet.
Congratulations on your Hico win. You’re the man to beat.[>:]
