Skully, thanks for the feedback. But RCU is still screwed up on my computer. The top of the thread now says 1-25 of 26. On my computer your last post on my screen is 23 not 26 and I have no page two. For some reason three posts do not appear on my screen. This is true whether I log on from the e-mail notice or from the RCU.com . This is one way RCU can save hard-drive space on the server. Don’t list all the information.

Central Texas needed the rain but it stopped in time to allow us to have a good race tomorrow. So in case you’re wondering, the race is on. The field is in good shape and the runway has been washed clean for all you fussy guys. I hope to see everyone there.

The weather Gods were very kind to the participants of the Georgetown Club 40 race. The rain stopped Friday evening and it was warm and sunny all day Saturday. There were no weather related casualties. We had a good turnout with 16 pilots duking it out for the coveted Sanaloma trophies and bragging rights that go with them. Also, a big thank you to Ritch’s Brew for providing the fuel for our event. This is the same racing fuel used at the NATS for all glow fuel racing events.
Of considerable note was the arrival the brothers Will and BJ Swope’s from Tuscaloosa Alabama. Thanks guys for supporting our event. We also had a Pattern flyer, Chuck Hochhalter, giving Club 40 his first try. Unfortunately Chuck had serious engine trouble and never got to race. With a smile he said “I’ll be back”
Here are the results of five rounds of preliminary heats:
1 Gary Fisher 1:34.72
2 Steve Fabianki 1:34.81
3 George Bales 1:34.63 fast time
4 Jerry Hellums 1:45.22
5 Ken Hopson 1:39.72
6 Bob Petrinec 1:39.47
7 Randy Kendzior 1:42.22
8 David Frish 1:45.65
9 Will Swope 1:49.25
10 Eric De Sardi 1:38.31
11 Steve Blackwell 1:41.88
12 James Smola 1:43.15
13 Deborah Bales 1:59.41
14 Charles Krempin 1:41.69
15 Jerry Stafford 1:46.60
16 Fred French hit pylon in his first heat.
The top ten finishers made it into the A, B and C main events.
A Main;
1 Fabianki 1:37.03
2 Hopson 1:43.00
3 G. Bales 1:46.35
4 Fisher 1:48.00
B Main;

2 Petrinec 1:39.97
3 De Sardi cut out
4 Hellums cut out

As Bob said Saturday turned out beautiful for the GAMA race! Friday it rained all day with Will and BJ Swope getting in just a few flights before the rain was just to strong! But then Saturday the sun come up and we all got our pylon tan on! A very special thanks to the Swope’s for making the trip out from Alabama & Georgia! The heats were fast and you really had to be on your game just to make it into one of the three mains! Congrats to Steve Fabienki for the A main win he was fast and smooth as always! Great racing guys!
Some pictures to come soon!

We all had a good time at the races. Good to see the ugly face of Skully, the guys from Alabama, and the new racers. Thanks to Bob and the crew for a great race. My only complaint, although very amusing, is the spelling of my last name. It seems to change at every race. For future reference it is spelled Fabianke. This is only in case I get hit at a race and the doctors need my name. Second thought, keep it that way. They will send the bill elsewhere.

A special THANKS to all the wonderful people of Texas.My brother, BJ, and I had a great time.It was really good to see some familiar faces, even though I'm still working to put names with some of those faces.We could not have been made to feel more welcome and you guys sure put on a heck of an event. The racing was great all day and conducted in the manner it should be.I believe everyone had a large time. Bob and Gary your hospitality and sharing of knowledge was above and beyond!! Thanks guys!! We are looking forward to seeing ALL the Texas gang soon,hopefully March for your race. Until then please feel free to offer your input to us as we will begin planning the THIRD ANNUAL SHOW DOWN IN T-TOWN soon and all opportunities to put on a bigger and better event would be appreciated.
Again, Thanks!
