Ernie,
we have talked about doing one @ the Alabaster field and if there is enough interest we will get one going !! Let me hear from any of you guys that would like to hold a year end Race, and maybe we could do the chili Cook off thing .. I know Johnny Mac said he was in, as we have talked about it already. We just need to set a date and go for it.. I'm thinking Sept/Oct ... Let me know and well Get er done..

I will do Dave, and I'll reply back here with what I find out about Bos and Andrews .
Thanks for trying to get up one last race for the year here in Bama. It should be a good one. I'm here to help you however you need . Y'all know what they say, these things run faster and better in cooler air anyway !!!
Ernie, we will need you to slow your plane down this time so you wont peel the new covering off by going so fast and I have just the right prop for you to acheive that, is a 11x3 You are most welcome!!

Well if nothing else we can always go fly the big birds! They are having the Celebration of Flight in Oct. down at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome out side of Luling Texas This place is awesome! They still build the WWI planes there from hand!...:O)

Tim:
The Julian race is Nov 2 & 3. They are running the Q40 Championship race a few weeks before that.
Jim Katz and Mike Langlois put on the races there, they are some of the best races I have ever
attended. The site is first class and workers are well trained. The Nov race will have Quickee 424 (Thunder tiger .40)
and EF1. Trey Witte is the CD. You would have a blast.

It is about a 9 hr drive from Decatur, I will probably go thru Smyrna and pick up Greg.
Let me know if you want to race Quickee also, could set you up with a plane really quick.

The Sept. Issue of Model Aviation "RC Pylon Racing" has two pictures, and a brief write up on the 2013 spring Old Julian Airport Race.
If you want to really get a feel for the site, go to the oldjulianairport.org web site. Also it's worth noting that they expect fliers from all over the world at the Q-40 Championship race in Oct. That's a testament to the quality of the site, and the conduct of their events.
