Hey Gary, do you know how to get in contact with Jerry Stafford? He's a BAMA man. I wonder if he is planning on making the trek?

I plan on being with you guys. I will run C40 and EF1. Is the application and were to send the money on the flyer? Maybe I can call for Bob again and talk him into hitting the number one pylon like last year.

With as many of you guys as are coming maybe it'll shake some of the guys from Georgia and the Carolina's loose! Or perhaps they just know to stay clear! Time will tell

Hey Scattermaster,

Great to hear you're going to attend. The fast lap is a one lap flown individually and timed. Fastest lap wins. We'll have open practice, fast lap for club 40, something cooked on the grill for supper, and most important of all tons of trash talking Friday. We furnish fuel for Saturday only so you'll need to bring enough for whatever you plan to do Friday. Look forward to meeting you and extending some good ol' "southern hospitality"

Safe travels,
Will

Alabama Rules: Nothing bigger that a 350 Chev small block. Iron heads, no super charger, and no direct port fuel injection. I think the only change from Texas rules is no Jet type fuel tanks, ie. stock fuel tank. Muffler must have the baffle in place. I think that's about it some of the Alabama guys can chime in.

Oh yea I forgot all Texas flyers must have a 6" drag chute deployed so as the others can keep up. I just knew I had forgot something.

Jerry,

those rules only apply to Auburn fans, if you are a BAMA man a blown big block Chevy burning alcohol is legal

Here is a link to Alabama Club 40 rules as I know them. Understand I'm not a CD and I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night but I hope this helps.Thouigh not specifically mentioned a head shim is required.

Ed, you can count me in. I will only be down Saturday since I won't fly home from out of town until that Friday! I hope my planes still fly due to not having any races in Alabama this year! Look forward to it!
Thanks,
Jim

Based on the amount of participation coming out of Alabama there should be many Club 40 planes for sale. I find that odd,
I haven't noticed any adds on RCU.

One was weather related, and the second race, the CD had an issue come up and couldn't attend. This will literally be our first race of the year. That can be good or bad.

Sorry, guys but it seems that life got in the way of racing in Alabama this season. The Alabaster race was called because of weather and a good alternate race date has not been found for their schedule (at least that is what I was told). The Harvest race was postponed because of work related issues that I had. We are going to reschedule the race for this fall time frame. We tried to put together a July race date but decided it was just to late to get the schedule worked out and notices sent.

I will miss the T-town race but I will help the best that I can by running the race matrix before I leave so PLEASE register ASAP so that I can have everything ready to send to Ed before the race.
Tim
