I love Club 40
While you guys see me producing kits and wings and other stuff for Quickies and Q-40, I want you to know that I still am highly involved with Club 40. I'm running 5 races in Charlotte this year with Club 40 and Quickie 25.
I have a 1000' runway and decent sized field in my back yard and I keep the 2 pole 540-B 400' course setup all the time so I can practice.
And I keep an LA Racer 40 and/or a Sky Raider Mach II together all the time, as well as a Twist 3D, all with charge jack switches, so I can get quick flights in when the weather is decent.
They are such a joy to fly, either on the course or just for fun.
And I'm going to get a Wingman II from The Wings Maker with the electric power package to test. We may soon have "Club Wingman" and should be able to run it on the 2 pole 540-B course as well.

Yes. I need to try to arrange for a Club 40 demo. I can take my trailer and sell Club 40 planes, and I could take my Quickie kits and Q-40 kits as well. And flying models of them.
I had not thought of it as a national promotional opportunity. Great idea.

Not sure what I am getting into, but Don has talked me into trying out Club 40. I have been racing on and off since I quit in 2000, but I am getting the urge to get back into racing again. I have ordered an LA racer from him and should have it here tomorrow. I can't wait to see it.
