Skully -
Here are the Lat / Long coordinates to the entrance of your field if you're using GPS: (According to Google Earth)
Latitude = 30 Deg, 33 min, 27 sec
or,
Latitude = Decimal Degrees 30.557605
Long = -95 deg, 29 min, 18.6 sec
or,
Long = Decimal Degrees -95.488469
Could someone from your club please verify...Thanks

As long as you don't pick your nose while your cooking, your cooking talents will be appreciated, you did say your were cooking steaks with all the fixings for everyone, right?

Skully see you at your race with my Clone Raider. Juat so I don’t get lost is there an address for the flying field? I have a new GPS and would like to use it to find you.
That other thread about Raider/ Racer stuff expanded faster than I can type so I moved to this thread, it’s slower.
Thanks, Bob P

Hey Eric,
I now have Jason Oliver's vertical stab on my Sky Raider. He gave it to me after his crash and I needed to replace the damaged one on my plane. I also had to replace the wing with a spare one I had at home. This means my Raider is made up of two different airplanes(I think my horizontal stab is also from a different airplane). Let me know if that constitues an illegal airplane for your race. I just don't want to drive 3 1/2 hours to be told I can't race. BTW, I'm too poor to buy a new Sky Raider everytime I have replace a part on it. I hope I can fly my "inbreed" Sky Raider at your race(wink). This is the only one I have. Although I think I have used up all my spare parts! Ha!

Ken, you should have stopped buy, I have lots of spare parts. I think I went through about 10 planes last year before I figured out I had a short in my radio. So far this year I have midaired one and crashed another one when the engine died on take off. I just sent Chuck a message that I need two fuselage kits to go with some of the wings I have.

Jim,
Thanks for the offer. If you still have a raider wing I'll take it. I certainly want to pay for it. BTW, I really enjoyed the Waco race. I hope you have another later in the year. The barbecue chicken was great! Please give my thanks to the cook! Hopefully see you in New Waverly.

I just ordered two fuselages from Chuck Esh, to see if I could put a couple planes together from left over pieces. If the wind is still blowing out of the west at New Waverly I may need them.
I know when Chuck Waller first looked at our field he was thinking we had enough room to set up 3 courses. I will look at it again to see if we could use alternate courses if the wind was out of the east or west.

Jim, I was in on that with Chuck Waller, when we were talking and planning a Texas Championship race with Q25 and Club 40 at HOTMAC, which never materialized, it went to Austin that year with only Club 40; and the layout at your field was simple.
The course you now have, was the center course running north to south facing the east, Pylon #1 of the center course served as Pylon #2 of the South or Right Course and it flew NE to SW, faced SE. Pylon #2 of the center course served as Pylon #1 of the North or Left course and it flew NW to SE and faced NE. The center Course would take off and land on the Paved runway; North/Left course would take off from the North end of the runway/grass and land on the North end. South/Right course would take off on the South End of the runway/grass and land on the South End.
All 3 courses interlocked in a way, using the Pylons of the Center Course with only 4 Pylons being used all together. The plan was to be able to fly 2 races at the same time, one on the North/Left Course(Q25 or Club 40) and a 2nd race(q25 or Club 40) on the South/Right course. The center Course would be used if attendance was low and there was no need to run more than one race at a time, and to run the Final or Mains.
I hope this can be visulaized, I can certainly show you.
Doug.

Doug, Yes that sounds about right. I don't think it would be practcal to run more than one race at a time, but We might be able to work it out where we had a east west course if need be.

Ok guys here's an update, because of the overload at work I can't get away Friday, so I'm going to have to say no practice on Friday. Sorry gotta work so we can play. I will be able to be out there at about 7 pm to open the gate for anyone spending the night at the field.

Hope not, I’ve practicing all week in heavy, gusty winds getting ready for Saturday. I have finally learned how to takeoff in a crosswind. Last guy to pylon one is, well you know what!
I’m ready for anything but rain.

I dunno about the "Slow BOOOOOOB" deal...
Heads up boyz! - he told me he would break the Fast Time record by 3 seconds in New Waverly because he's bringing his BEST motor. I hope the timers can keep up with him.
