Places to fly in Deming, NM
I am looking for a place to fly in Deming, NM. I have been flying out behind my house in the desert since I moved here but the other day I hit a big Misquite bush while landing. As a result I am looking for a more open spot.

JD: I haven't been in Deming in a good while but when we used to stay there we flew just out SW of town. I don't remember the streets but this might help.
Heading West on the main drag you come to a motel / resturant and just past that an Arby's. Between the 2 is a road that heads South West . Down this road about a mile or so on the West side was a fenced area that we flew from. Also the gang used to go to the resturant or Arby's early morning for coffee, you might ask in both places. The group called themselves the " Luna RC fliers.
One of the guys that flew was a barber and hair dresser. Not much to go on but it might help. ENJOY !!! RED

Aside from a couple of clubs in Silver City I am not aware of anything in that part of the state. I used to live in Valencia county for 21 years and got around quite a bit but always just around the clubs at Silver City..............

Thanks. There are a few guys on here from Deming but I think they are all eithe fly in Silver City or just at empty fields in the area.

When I was out there we only had about 3 older guys and 3 younger guys that were pretty regular. One of the older guys owned the field I talked about, I tink he passed on. ENJOY !!! RED

Yes there is a place to fly. We are not a club, just a group of guys that fly. We have a city owned field just a little SW of town.
