i all ready have a t-maxx and a jato iam happier with the hardware than the polices of traxxas. iam thinking if getting a jato for my son, or giving him my t-maxx. the big Q. is would it be better for him to have a truck same as mine, or does not mater?

All depends on his skill level, the Jato is a pretty freaky truck for new comers.
