My boyfriend has been into flying planes off and on for some time... He has a few that he's bought assembled and a couple that he put together from a kitbut I think he wants to spend somemoney on acouple really good ones now. I'm hoping to add a plane to his collection this Christmas.

I have absolutely no knowledge (or interest really) on this hobby and googling was a tad daunting at best.

Can anyone direct me to a great site to buy a great plane? All I know is that he recently bought a controller that can control up to 10 planes. And I think I heard him complain that the battery doesn't last long? Oh yeah, and they look like styrofoam.

I stumbled across this on my google travels which looks cool but I don't even know what it is.

It is also important for you to know what he power his planes with: electricity or combustion engines.
That is because many kits or ARF's (Almost Ready to Fly) model airplanes are constructed for an specific type of power, and your boyfriend already has the herdware associated to it.
