Default New Lifestyle Magazine for RC Pilots

[link=http://www.rcpilot.com]RC Pilot Magazine[/link]

We will be working with RCU to get the word out on this revolutionary new magazine for our hobby! The tablet-based, interactive magazine is about pilots, not products. Of course we will have products, but that is not the focus Sign up on the site for a free first issue (and a chance at a free iPad).

Check it out: [link=http://www.rcpilot.com]RC Pilot Magazine[/link]

I signed up and then got this message: 'We will notify you when your free issue will be available for downloading to your IPad"  ....  doesn't do me any good since I don't have an IPad!

It's for iPad or Android tablets. In 5 years most readers will consume their magazines this way. Saves trees, costs less, delivers way more than print. I remember when we started RCU, guys at shows would complain because they didn't own a computer.

Likely not. Even though Kindle uses the Android system, it's fairly limited in its capabilities and we will likely hold off. It will work best on the Galaxy (and similar tablets) and, of course, the iPad, which we believe is the best overall platform and experience by a long shot. We are also limited by the technology that produces the magazines; it's not a choice we made.

The more successful we are, the more likely it is we will expand our platform choice.

So what did you think so far?

Thanks,
Michael

Signed up already, really like the layout and how it will show on the iPad. Unless I'm at work, I never use my laptop anymore. Any program that is geared towards a tablet has got my approval. Now if we figure a way to get pics from the iPad loaded onto rcu I'd be set, lol.

Mr Kranitz's statement in the video about how all magazine "reviews", and other content, are the same really hit me between the eyes. He is sooooo right.

I got an iPad for Father's Day this year. I was, like, "What the hell am I going to do with this thing???"

Well, I now use it constantly. The versatility of the device is simply amazing.

I'm signed up... looking forward to the debut.

Enjoy the magazine. If I've got to buy an IPad or tablet to see it, I guess I'll not be seeing it.

Yes, it's on a tablet. IPad or Android. What we are doing in the magazine cannot be duplicated on a laptop. I picked the medium knowing that not everyone had a tablet. But people will get them and in staggering numbers. Gartner forecasts that more than 320million iPads will be shipped by 2015. RCU was ahead of its time and RCPilot will similarly lead the way.

If some folks holding off on a tablet want to wait, I hope they check it out on a friend's device. There are many reasons to own a tablet and maybe this will be one!

Gotta say if you are not going to support the Kindle Fire you will miss a large opportunity. I have a Fire on order, as do 15 other people I know. Amazon and Kindle have put out the requirements for apps so no reason not to make your new mag available; after all the Fire is Android...

Agreed. We will try certainly. Just depends if their software will support. It's a watered down version of Android.
