Default Soldering Pencil help

what pencil do i choose for under 40 bucks with a controllable temp and it must heat up to at least 900 degrees. thanks. P.S, i was thinking about this one, any recomendations?http://www.google.com/products/catal...ed=0CGAQ8wIwAQ

Not worth the postage to sent it to your house.

For a controlled temperature 900 degree soldering pencil iron, plan to spent close to $100.00.

Weller, MetCal, or Hakko are all good reliable brands.

Nothing that is battery operated will last long enough to get the job done.

Good advice from Mr. Petit.

Can you hire someone to do it for under $40? Might be a better choice.

I agree with Pettit. And I would put the MetCal at the top of the list. They are ready to use in less than one minute after power up.
