Default Rc boat build.

Heyy guys Im 15 years old and have been quite intersted in rc boats for a while now. Ive always looked at videos and discussions of people that have built there own rc boats. Now im really keen on building my own and was thinking of building the hull from balsa wood and then fibreglassing it. As a motor i want to use some sort of electric outboard such as an Aquacraft Ep-1 or something similar. I also want the boat to go at a decent pace. So please post your thoughts on this build and reccomend any ideas to me. I am a begginer in rc boat building so please help me, Thanks

Try these. I feel that they are a good place to start.

If you are looking for plans, the old rcmodeler magazine http://www.rcmplans.com/index.php?ma...ulbmp2n5b5lm4e has plans, when I was your age, I built the stingray and another one, both could be modified into electric without too much problem.

Go to the model boats forums here on RCU. You will get lots of help in there.

Plywood is usually a better choice for boats than balsa, it's much stronger. As was suggested, look at the boat forums here on RCU. There are many threads on building from plans.
