Containment explained?
I had what I thought was a harmless post titled 'Zombie Apocalypse' that was moved quickly to containment. A couple questions:
1. What constitutes the containment policy? I did a search, couldn't find an explanation.
2. I contacted RCKen, twice, and have yet to receive the courtesy of a reply. Is it normal on this site to ignore members with questions? I find it rude and unprofessional.

RE: Containment explained?
Hey, my mistake. I thought the clubhouse was for anything. Sorry. RC related. Got it.
But a Zombie Apocalypse concept is pretty funny, unless one has a narrow general outlook.
Still, not responding to two queries is pretty unprofessional.

RE: Containment explained?
"ZA" is a generic term. There's so many zombie movies, TV series (Walking Dead), interest in pop culture, but not a video game I'm aware of, although some titles (Half-Life 2?) come close.
I guess it's a scary concept if you've not outgrown 'teen scream'-type movies.
I do have movies playing in the background during build sessions, some may have been Zombie-related. [X(] Now RC-related?

If you have questions of this nature, you may also contact any moderator or community moderator for an awnser. I do know that RCKen has been under the weather lately and has not been on RCU that much, so please accept my apoligies on his behalf for not getting back to you in a timely manner. Good Luck, Dave

Clubhouse or not, it was not RC related, nor was it remotely the kind of thing we would want to promote here.

RE: Containment explained?
Nothing wrong with talking hypothetically about Zombies. I am about half way through a great book called "World War Z". There is a movie based on the book in production staring Brad Pitt and I reckon it's going to be the god of all Zombie movies.

Argueing that non RC content belongs in an RC forum with the mod...strike two.
Thinking anything that has to do with Zombies is cool...nevermind.

Anyone catch the "Dinner Time " thread?

Sounds like Occupy Wall Street - also not RC related and just as childish.

It's where the zombies run amok, shut down commerce, world domination.
Come to think of it, a lot like RCU! [X(]
JOKE!!

Have to throw the BS flag on this one. Perhaps RCU dosen't want to promote the content, thats fine, BUT there are threads on this sight regularly that arn't ''RC related''. How about the ''what kind of beer do you drink'' threads, or the ARF/ Ugly Woman thread that's currently running (I noticed you posted in that one). Is this the content RCU wants to promote? Seems a bit hypicritical Minn.

I do agree that the policies on this site are wildly inconsistent. Also feel sorry for those who kowtow to authority out of reflex/fear. Better to adhere to stated policy and support it, than blindly agree to the vague and inconsistent.

I didn't argue with a mod, in fact humbly and maturely apologized. So still no strikes, vic. Try to keep up.
To each his own. Nobody said zombies are cool. See response above. [8D]

RE: Containment explained?
If it doesn't fit in any other category and is about general RC stuff then post it here at the Clubhouse.
RCU has 2 places to post off topic stuff
Off Topic Forum - planes/helis http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_391/tt.htm
Get to know your fellow RCU member modelers in here and discuss off topic non-rc stuff. Only two topics OFF LIMITS are religion and politics. This forum for airplanes and heli crowd. Car or truck fans have their own in car section.
