RE: Minnflyer (AKA Mike Buzzeo) has unexpectedly passed away
I found out about this yesterday with great sadness. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
Mike was one of the key people in helping me build and grow RC Universe. He was a generous, knowledgeable and talented individual. He always was there to help me or other members out anyway he could. He helped writing for rcu, helped moderate the site, helped answer members questions, created tutorials, wrote honest reviews and so much more. He even did the RCU Logo for me in Illustrator format along with a few other image assets on the sites. He was an amazing graphic artist. He helped me with some charitable projects I was working on too.
This news came as a big surprise to me. I had spoken to Mike only about a month ago and we talked about the future. He wanted to know if I would be getting back into the rc world again in some way and that he wanted to let me know he would be fully onboard if I did. I was appreciative and flattered by his willingness and loyalty.
Mike was a great guy and he will be missed by his family, his friends, coworkers, those he helped and myself. You are in my thoughts Mike. I'm going to miss you.

Like others I was shocked to hear of his passing. He was a great guy to be around and very helpful and insightful. I will miss meeting him at area events and seeing his reports and videos from National events. I considered him a friend and will think of him as his absence will be noted. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in peace Mike and I hope you find calm skies forevermore.

Thanks for the help you gave me the last 10 years, good buddy. Mike sponsored me for moderator here, and we have had many discussions over the years. I will miss ya, my friend.

Wow. I have been on a little break from the hobby while I focus on some other things and I was shocked to hear this. Mike was one of the few real experts out there who genuinely liked to help people and wasn't full of it. What a sad, unfortunate thing. He has helped countless people discover and grow in this hobby. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

How very, very sad. Mike always helped me like I was just as seasoned in the hobby as he was, even though I am still wet behind the ears.
He was a genuine guy and like so many before said, a real talent in a lot of things.
You will be missed dearly, Mike. Condolences to your family.

RE: Minnflyer (AKA Mike Buzzeo) has unexpectedly passed away
I was in a state of disbelief and shock when I saw the heading of this thread. It was only about two weeks ago that we reminisced about Art Grabow and Bill Robison, two great RCU members who have passed on, when we joked about this old thread about RCU moderators http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_62..._1/key_/tm.htm Minn's last post here in RCU was on April 7 and his last login on April 10 12:44pm. It's just too sudden. I will remember Minn as one of the best teachers in RC who is gentle in his words, ever willing to listen patiently and share his invaluable experience with beginners to encourage them in the hobby. I was one of the beginners who benefited greatly from his help here in RCU, from model making and covering techniques to engine tuning and flying skills. Minn was also a great graphics artist and I remember approaching him some time ago for some help in designing a logo. Minn actually went the extra mile to prepare a special instructional video to show me how to do it! Minn will be greatly missed, and his demise is a truly great loss not only to RCU but to the RC community. My heart feels pretty heavy now but I would like to convey my deepest condolences and prayers to his entire family. May the Good Lord bless his soul abundantly, and strengthen and console his family in their time of bereavement. Rest in Peace my friend!

R.I.P. Minnflyer
I wish I possessed the eloquence others have already displayed, in expressing condolences to the family and team, and admiration for Mike's work here and elsewhere. I share their sentiments.

I cannot fathom RCU without Minnflyer, he was always such a all around good person who always seems to have had time for all of us.

I never met Mike but was thinking about buying a FlyZone Cessna Corvalis and after reading his review of this plane I bought one.
You could always trust his reviews to be honest.
R.I.P Mike you will be missed.
Praying for his family.

While I had never met Mike, it was an ambition of mine to meet him some day. I only recently came to RCU but grew to respect his offerings. A good man down and his family will receive a prayer from me.
Calm winds and clear skies Mike.
