Dear Tony, I read in the WSJ last week that Chinese banks are coming to the USA and we are not doing anything to stop them. Did you know that the Chinese regularly salvage the old parts out of used computers and sell them as new to the aerospace industry. The US military has a big problem with failures with bad transistors and such that are sold as new? Did you know that the Alaska Air flight that crashed near Santa Barbra had bogus Chinese jack screws in the elevator trim that were marked as PMA or authorized US parts? Stuff happens here and a lot of it is not good stuff. What is my point? They are communists, God is not even legal in their society. Yes, I bought 2 battieries and it came out ok so far. Tower would have been almost double the price for poorer quality. Tibet is not free. I'll stop here. Wallace Tharp RCO USAF Copntract

You're wrong about that Alaska Air flight. That was caused by improper maintenance techniques. Do research before you blame deaths on an entire culture, xenophobe.

We just can beat their minimum wage. It's like $0.05 per hr. so with those low manufacturing cost they can sell cheap ans still make a profit

china is the superpower now, deal with it or stop working for 7-11 and open up a manufacturing/engineering company and produce something. America owes China around 4 trillion dollars, they dont call the debt in because the dollar would be worth nothing and we would be too broke to buy this cheap crap from them. Over 1700 Americans have been arrested in China over the last few months for doing business there, Charges ranging from bribery to corporate espionage. Good luck reading about it. Obama has it all hidden. 7 From Dunn and Bradstreet just last week. SO enjoy the cheap crap but know its really screwing our world up. <breath>

What? I already pointed out the Alaska Air thing and I am American as they come. What is it with people and generalizing an entire nationality?

That Alaska Airlines crash near Santa Barbara, California was due to the elevator jack screw grease nipple being jammed closed and although the maintainance crews regularly pumped grease as scheduled on the grease points in the airplane as required......the plugged up grease nipple did not allow grease to get to the jackscrew and so the jackscrew was running dry and eventually wore out prematurely and caused loss of elevator control and the subsequent crash into the ocean off California.............regarding HobbyKing............you win most of the time and occasionally you lose some.......it is just the nature of global internet sales with thin profit margins requiring strict return policies to the point of extremely poor customer service.............but just like I said before.........I can live with that because I save a bundle when the prices are compared to big name retailers here in the U.S.............and the occasional damaged/missing part, well you have to deal with the strict, restrictive return/refund policy or else you pay more at the big name retailers. I am not a rich guy, I work hard for the money. 'Nuff said. Larry.

Larry,
The rich guys want you to stop shopping there in a misguided attempt to force them to improve their service, and thus raise their prices. They will then buy at the LHs because the prices are the same, and couldn't care less that they took the choice away from you. Then there are the geniuses that think cutomer service is free, they want the prices and the service and just can't wrap their minds around the reality that customer service costs money.

It would be nice if HK stepped up and admited they dont intend to offer cust service because of their low prices and just say all sales or final even when they
charge your cc and you dont receive what you ordered or maybe nothing at all.

Default RE: HOBBY king going down the tube?

It seems that the lesson "there is no free lunch" is always hanging over our head.........cheap HobbyKing prices means very poor customer service, very restrictive/makes you go through the hoops and hurdles to resolve issues.....................................costs a bundle big name U.S. retailers give quick replacement/refunds, good customer service, but you THE CUSTOMER paid for all that good customer service by them charging you a bundle. Again there is no free lunch. Yes you can file a dispute with Paypal, file a dispute with your credit company...........but remember because of the overseas delivery lag time the overseas seller is already ahead of you in collecting from your credit card/Paypal by one week or even by several weeks.....so that by the time you file a dispute they are already several weeks ahead in the transaction. They are counting on you, the customer to give up, have fatigue in pursuing your complaint and because they are global in sales, they have thousands of customers all over the world lined up to replace you, the unhappy customer. Lesson learned in all of these is NEVER order anything that is backordered........Never order anything that is a new product, wait a year until the bugs are all worked out before you order one..............READ the reviews, especially the negative ones before you order one, this could save you all the headaches......................pay with Paypal, it is tilted towards the favor of the customer....................Don't be shy in emailing your complaint to the retailer because that way the retailer can tell the factory/supplier that they packed the item causing damage or that the item is failing in one or two flights so that the retailer can change supplier(yes there are a lot of supplier/factories in China) or the supplier can make improvements...................................... .The retailer is just a middle man, the retailer ships to you the item as is as packaged by the factory/supplier. The retailer may double box the item, but inside the inner box it is packaged by the factory. Read the forums and the reviews as a lot of these items from the overseas retailers are of very poor quality, however there are a lot also that are very good and are very well made and they are CHEAP. Yes I am a cheap guy..........I don't feed the family table with these hobbies, they are just TOYS that give me enjoyment. 'Nuff said. God Bless y'all. Larry.

It's not all aboutcheap chinese crap.
recently I ordered (and got on time ) few A123 batteries. the cost was almost half the other stores and the product is genuine A123 Systems....
You can also order genuine Futaba for less money, of genuine PowerBox for nice price.
As you can see, it dont have to be "cheap chinese crap"

Now I'm waiting for few cheap chineseservos from HK, let's see what will happen

I want to address this post directly to OP Mr Vasek
Pls answer truthfully and honestly ok? If you were to lie none of would know but only you ok? Or you coose not to answer.
1. Were you aware of HK's "reputation" as far as refund, replacement and customer service is concerned? Didn't you do any internet search to find out howgoodor bad or absolutely rotten a company is before youdecided to do business with them?
2. If you already know what it's going to be like if you need customer service from HK it's going to be like this, why in heaven's name did you buy from them?
3 If you didn't know zip at all about HK then may i suggest you pull your head out of the sand and do some research before you do business with any internet company.
4. All of us who had responded toyour post know what HK is like. Half of us love them, half of us hate them. but most important we are tofree to choosewhether we want to accept their conditions and buy from them or go to LHS (Local Hobby Shop)
So, what's the deal, Mr Vasek?
