Default Whatever happened to KLEET products?

Does anybody know what has happened to KLEET, you the guy who makes the Nylon reinforced landing gear and one of the best tailwheels around.

Rumor has it that since lanier RC picked up the Carl Goldberg line that they where going to acquire KLEET also. But I have not seen anything about the acquisition. Also rumor that Great Planes was going to pick up the KLEET line also.
Any information is deeply appreciated.
Thanks.

I think you mean KLETT. As far as I know they are still in business:

They are still in business but the do not sell through a distributor. You can order direct though, I bought some tail wheels from them a little while ago.

Default RE: Whatever happened to KLEET products?

Glad to hear they are still going strong. After a break in the hobby I heard they were no longer in business and ran around town to all the hobby shop's buying up all the 1/4 tail wheels I could find. (only two) Ten years ago I was a member of the Fort Worth Thunderbirds where I had the honor of meeting and becoming friends with Roy Klett. He is a gentleman in all respects and a good friend to model aviation. I will never forget when once I mentioned to Roy I was building a 4-Star Forty and he asked me what color I was going to make it. I told him Blue with white trim. The next week he came up to me at the flying field and gave me a "blue" tail wheel assymbly he had made for me. I offered to pay him for it, but he waved me off with the comment he was making something else (his business was primarily non RC related) in blue and had a little plastic left over so he made me one in blue. He is just an all around nice guy.
