Unless things have changed since I left St. Louis 10 years ago, your best bet is Schaefer's Hobby Shop in south county a couple miles east of interstate 270 on Gravois Road (Highway 30). It's actually in a suburb of St. Louis several miles from the city proper, but for RC stuff, they used to have the best selection.
