the 20cc gas is meant for a 60 sized plane, the cub might be a little small. reinforce the firewall and it could be fun. what engine are ya looking at, the zeohan 20 the saito 4 stroke conversion?

I think it will be a RCGF,I've looked at a lot of the motors and i keep going back to this engine. I think it's a great value for the money, lots of good comments made on it.

Hi Guys

How about a DLE 20 to power up a Revolver? Has any one done one yet? what modifications has to be done? I would be happy if any one would provide pictures of his gas engine installed.

Thanks

There is a good deal of information in the Larger Revolver thread in the ARF RTF forum:

Yea, well be careful with this plane. Mine crashed on its very first takeoff. Total tail structural failure, without any doubt due to poor gluing or lack of glue and weak fuselage tail area. Vertical and horizontal stabs came comepletely off on takeoff. Clean breaks in front of vertical stab and under horizontal stab.

Reported this to Aeroworks and received no reply, what so ever. Was not looking for anything to compensate for loss, just to advise them of weaknesses and lack of proper gluing. Got no reply at all !!!

Plenty of other good planes out their for the DLE-20, but this Aeroworks one will never be in my hangar again !

That doesn't sound like typical  Aero-works customer service.

Huh, I have one of those sitting here in line to be assembled,,, I was going EP with it. Personally I think 20cc would be to much for it, over motoring lightweight aerobatic airframes rarely ends well.
IMO 20cc gas is more for a 90-120 size plane,, should be fine in the Revolver

I'm flying a Funtana X100 with a DLE 20 and it's a super combo. Lots of power for 3D and no slime like the OS 120AX I had it before. Came in at 8lb. 9oz.
