Default Bummed out need an airplane recomendation

Yet another expensive crash ( I could have sworn I was in front of that tree) and now I'm airplaneless with alot of hardware.

I need a solid airplane that can be build in a small area.
I am currently looking at the SIG SE because the 2 peice wing should fit perfectly on my building board.

Another plane I'm looking at is the seduction wildstyle because the wing halves are joined very late in construction but that plane might be a but to much My confidence can't handle another crash, the wild is also alot more expensive than the SE.

Any other planes out there that would fall into this category?
Cheap+small build area, engine size is anything that can fly with a saito .72 nothing to wild I just need a smooth flying plane to gain some confidence.

Would prefer a kit because of the money factor but if theres a cheap arf out there that fits the bull I guess I could deal with it.

I like my 4*60 (I've said that about 30 times today...LOVE THIS PLANE and I haven't even finished it yet).
That Saito would probably fit perfectly on the front...

$87.99 from Tower (kit)

Kallikrates, you should go over and check out the SPAD forum. Cheap, small, and perfect for gaining back your confidence.

Yup, SPAD!! That will atleast get you back in the air fast. Then buy a nice kit and build it while you enjoy flying the SPAD.

SPA3D, PQHOR, DasPlastik, take your pick and have a ball...

I also recommend the SPA3D, but that's kind of too nice an engine to hang on it. More than likely, you're going to be doinking the Spad a lot because you'll be hovering right on the deck in the first few flights. If you want cheap 3D, it's definitely the way to go, but I would get a cheaper engine for it.

The H9 Pizazz is not quite 3D, but makes a great combo with the .72 Saito. Unlimited vertical is no prob, yet you can land at a crawl. Great plane and engine. They were on sale for $100 a while back. Pretty good value for an ARF. I don't know what they are selling for now.

Since the main requirement is to not to have worry about expensive crashes, and you're thinking of a plane the size of the SE, I would highly recommend the Spad DPS (Das PlaStick). With the money you save over the kit, buy a Thunder Tiger Pro .46 for it. Now fly the heck out of it without any financial worries at all! Working with plastic and finding the materials will be a little learning curve, but it will still take you a lot less time than a wood kit. After you build one DPS, you can build the next three in about 10 hours (for all three).

When you get your confidence back, my guess is you'll never go back to wood. I have a completely built OMP Edge 540, and I just don't have the heart to take it out. I keep thinking I will someday, but everytime I go to the field, I say, well, I'll just load up my two DPS'.

Heheeeeeeee, I know what you mean Mike. My Sudokhoi in my Avitar is a blast, BUT it usually sits at home while I take out my PQHOR (precursor to the SPA3D).

Default Bummed out need an airplane recomendation

a year after going solo i crashed one of my fave planes, after that i didn't really want to fly often, any excuse not too.
then i brought a second hand funfly for £10, the cost means i didn't worry too much about it, and it flew perfectly and inspired confidence.

i feel i'm getting close to a stage where i want to learn new things, but i dont want to break the planes i have and that i wont learn or be keen to just let my hair down and fly. considering building a SPA3D with a cheap nasty engine and old gear just to go play with and not care.
