Default Geez, just one of those days

Had a bunch of stuff delivered today and 2 out of the 4 things had issues. Ordered a new charger and it was DOA. Also got a new GP Waco, of course United Parcel smashers worked their magic once again and crushed the bottom of the fuse. At least Towers' customer service is top notch. Still, what a bummer.

I got an order delivered a few weeks ago and the box had a hole big enough to put my fist through. By the time I got to the door, the UPS driver was already in his truck and pulling away. And I was sitting next to the front door when he "lightly" tapped on it. It didn't take me 3 seconds to get up from the sofa and get the front door open.

He knew that I wouldn't accept the package if he had hung around. Splitsville !!!!

But everything was in the package and worked. So I came out OK.

Stuff gets broken in shipment . Happens all the time . And real companies like Tower understand this , and , in an effort tword customer satisfaction , will make it right for the customer .

No photographs of firstborn required !

Everything else is just the bloviations of the keyboard warriors trying to justify that it's ok to end up with broken junk cause , well gosh darn it , it was cheap [:@]

This so true, I too learned my lesson the hard way with HK. Tower didn't ask for any pictures, I told them what I wanted to make it right and it was done and over.

But more to the point for me is UPS. It seems like in the last couple years they have really stepped up their smashing service. Off the top of my head planes that I've had delivered:

1. Ecomrc Stinson SR-9 .....Damaged vertical

2.ValleyView monoculp.....Damaged wing

3.ESM BF-110.......Damaged horizontal stab

4. GP Waco......Damaged fuse

5. Nitroplanes Tucano.......Damaged cowl

6. ESM FW-190.......No damage

Above were all purchased new and shipped via UPS

The following were all purchased via RCU classified

1. TF mustang NIB......no damage

2. Global Decathalon NIB...... No damage

3. Modeltech Dragon lady NIB......no damage

Above were all shipped via USPS




So it's really eye opening for me to see that 5 out 6 planes shipped via UPS all had some type of damage compared to no damage via USPS.


Maybe it's time that retailers start looking at other options for shipping. That's probably the only way UPS will ever actually start to be concerned about the way they do business.
