[8D] Thank You for posting that , that was great !
Did anyone happen to notice the plane rescued was a H-9 P-51 , the one that was originally sold in yellowtail version with "trainer cuffs" on the wings ?
I did , cause I've got one of the old yellowtails . This was the very first variant of the H-9 P-51 Mustang PTS that even had a 72 MHZ JR radio when it hit the market . Eventually it became available as an ARF , and then later the yellow tail was switched to red , like the plane that was rescued . I so liked the looks of it when it came out , but wasn't too fond of the supplied gear , that I bought it and refitted it my way . I swapped out the Evolution 45 for an OS 55 AX , swapped out the radio gear so I could use my 2.4 GHZ setup , ditched the stock servos for some nice Hitecs , and then added on board glow (for convienence of starting , no glow sticks to twiddle with near the prop for this old dude ) , A123 2300 receiver pack , lost model locator , and an aluminium spinner with a wood prop . My last official act was to remove all the stickers and decals from it and fly it . And yea , It flys a LOT faster without the cuffs [8D]
Oh , and as to language , that wasn't any worse than any ya hear in all of today's action movies , so I'd say it's no biggie . You can tell those two guys were havin a great time , and the language takes nothing away from the fact that they were completely enjoying giving those RCers a Great tale to tell for years to come .
If the two Heli Pilots ever read this ; Great Job Guys !!!!!!
