Default Why no gallery

Why is it a lot of people on here don't put their airplane's in their gallery.
I don't know about any one else but what they have done tell's me a lot. And I do go look a lot of time's.
I also go to their dossier as well to see what they have done, or talking about.
Just curious!

The main reason I don't is that I don't know how to do it !!  I'm NOT very good with this computer. I can do my emails & search, that's about it. Every time I try something new, I screw it up !!! I think I'm  about done with this computer anyway as my wife has an I-Pad & I'm getting used to  it. We go to Florida for the winters. The I-Pad will be much  easier to take back & forth.

Well, just speaking for myself it all boils down to a matter of time and energy. I deal with computers, cameras, and video just about every day. I just don't feel like sitting down and taking the time to upload pictures of my own planes. I guess it's like the joke about the mechanic's car, it's always a piece of junk that barely runs because he doesn't feel like working on it after working on cars all day long. Same with me. After looking at and dealing with pictures of planes all day long I just don't feel like doing it.

Yes, it's a cop out, I know. Sorry!!!

It is too bad that more people don't post pics of their models. I know of several excellent builders that don't and it's a shame.

I stopped posting simply because ... sometimes I just want to add a pic to my gallery but.... I don't want or need that photo to appear in the community albums. I just want to upload it to my gallery without "poking" the whole world.

I think it would be better if I had the choice to have a particular photo seen by all , or just those who visit my profile. Maybe there can be a button for "public" and "private" ?

Just a thought.
Ken.

But, you're right, if someone braggs about their building skills....then let's see it

...but again, I'm more interested in seeing pics from some of those Top Gun and Masters competitors. Those models are inspiring.

It does not take a masters to be good at what you build and fly, but when you get run down by people that do not like your user name our the way you post why even bother with posting pic's. Yes I got a lot of flack when I was the RC Outlaw and learned no one forgets. Yes I still have 15 planes in my Hanger, and if I posted them would any one care

I didn't realize they had one here. At Wattflyer, they place a gallery icon in your avatar/screen name area. I think they need to do something like that here. They really should put the icon there to remind people of it, even if they have no photos, and just place a zero next to it. It's the only thing that reminds me to keep entering planes in the gallery. It would be really nice if they did the same thing here, and allowed us to link our Wattflyer galleries.
75 planes is a lot of planes to re-enter!

A lot of people don't look at all the little things beyond the post border. The left side is more noticeable. All those things at the bottom, all on one line are called information overload. People tend to not look at things, when they are not as neatly itemized, such as right in the person's profile info. They are not in the same box as the person's profile/member info, so it doesn't make sense to expect member info to be there. Fair enough?
I've been mostly at Wattflyer until recently, looking at my post history. I haven't been here for much of the 8 years.
