Default Too Dang many Brotherhoods.

Several years ago a couple of groups started calling themselves Brotherhoods. Now it seems like everyone is starting a Brotherhood of this, that or the other. Whats up with that?

Bill, maybe you should tell us what is up since you started the Brotherhood trend.

I think the profile brotherhood was the first. They have their own website: ...the****************** (dot) (com) It's been around for many years.

Stickbuilder, are you also known as BillyHell?

I guess that's either a solid yes or a solid no.

Sorry,
I thought you were making a funny joke.
Billy Hell is Jim Graham, founder of the profile brotherhood, writes a column for AMA Model Aviation magazine,
and moderates at another forum.

Billy Hell and Stickbuilder are probably several decades apart in age,
and light years apart in RC philosophy.

OK Thanks. I saw the comment above about "Bill" starting the brotherhood and wondered if Stickbuilder was an alias for Bill Graham. / BillyHell.

No, but we both lived in the same little suburb of Nashville. Mr. Graham does not care very much for me, nor I him. Well, he is okay for the most part, but his flying style is not my cup of tea. Mine is not his either. I was writing a column for RC Report before Jim started writing for the AMA rag. I'm a few (not many) years older than Jim, I used to be a Profile Brother, but Jim may have stripped me of that membership when he threw me out of the RC Groups site. I've been hoping that he would ask to become a Waco Brother. We would show him how to have a good time with no angst.

My last name is not Graham. It's Hurt.

For years we saw "Club This" and "Club That"
Since some folks balk at being in a "club" maybe the organizers think they will get more participation as brotherhoods.

Maybe it's more of a conatation that they all think alike. Where as a club is made up from a diversity of mind sets. Brother hood, neighbor hood, a close knit group of people that share the same idiologies.
