They got to the field and found out the main clunk to the carb was hooked to the vent, the fill clunk was hooked to the over spill, and the vent was hooked to the carb. Servos to the choke was reversed, ailerons went up when the flaps went down, so they could not fly. Back to the shop they go!

Rather than have broken attachments through-out the site, making it look broken, we decided it would be best to just open up the forum to posting for now. Once we can be sure all the images/attachments will be included in the migration we'll go live. The expectation is next weekend (if not sooner).'
please DO keep in mind, RCUniverse has been up and running for twelve years... there are literally millions of attachments and links that MUST work properly
the guys at IB decided rather than bring the forum to the 'point of no return', then potentially have a bunch lost attachments, bad links, etc.. better to err on the side of caution.

My Late Brother (Minnflyer) has 3 or 4 links, attachments and articles laying around here that I would certainly NOT like to see go away
heck I have one or two myself
I've been waiting as has everyone else... another couple days will not kill me.

I don't mind the wait I just want them to do a good job. I'm sure there will be some bugs even after the new system is implemented That is to be expected but I agree there are things that are not replaceable and I would hate to see them lost. Still looking forward to the new design.

As Jim said above, there were some technical bugs that popped up as they worked over the previous weekend. They are currently working on getting the attachments moved over to the new system, and as soon as they have those they will continue the migration. The current plan is to try to continue on Friday. I will try to keep everybody posted.

those are the very things I was talking about, you do a search ona question and 9 out of 10 times, Mike was there helping the OP..
I never met Mike, but chatted on here with him in threads and PM's. He was a huge help when I got back in the hobby and was building my US60.. Mikes threads still come up with new post, it just goes to show you how well he could passalonginfo on a keyboard.... From what everyone who knew Mike has said about him, he was an outstanding man. Wish I would have had the chance to meet him...

It's
A
Forum
It's a place for a bunch of grumpy old men to chew the fat about toy cars, boats, and airplanes.
Pretty sure we'll all be JUST FINE no matter how long it takes to make whatever changes the owners wish to make.

RE: *sigh* 1 more week?
Computers were designed by an evil group who hated any type of happiness in the world. Once they convinced the masses to use their product, the level of happiness and good will has plummeted.
They have now taken over completely.
As proof, see how many un happy people there are about the upgrade!
I know from my work, I work on a small network that covers 15k people, 385 sites and just over 680 pieces of software, runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There are more un happy people when the computer does not do what they want.
You can hear the people scream when a driver update happens.
I can wait, as they said in WWII, better thee, then me.
Buzz.

RE: *sigh* 1 more week?
I left here a couple years back when the servers got so slow. I said a few things I now regret, but I'm ready to come back with my tail between my legs and my face like this: . Or is it this? [] Whichever means embarrassed.
I took refuge in an awful place. It's still too painful for me to talk about it.
With the speed and a new look, it will be like a fresh start.
If we could just get either a mobile version or tapatalk for my tablet, all would be Zen.

No software upgrade in the history of computers has ever gone without issues. And this is no exception. Getting RCU ported over to vBulletin has been a 2 year project that has more manhours involved than I care to count. We do apologize for any problems that have come up during this upgrade, but please know that we are working hard to get all the bugs taken care of and worked out.
