hi, i hate the new search engine, i'm used to the old search but can't find it anymore

The "old search" function doesn't exist any longer. When we upgraded to vBulletin it contains a search function within it. That is what is available now. I am the Forum Manager here at RCU and I can tell you that personally I hated the old search function on RCU. It was difficult to use and didn't do a good job of finding things. In fact, before we upgraded to vBulletin I had quit using the search functions and I instead used Google when I needed to find something on RCU. Since the upgrade I have been using the search function contained in vBulletin and so far I have been happy with the results it provides me.

thanks for the info Ken !

it seems i can't get relevant results with the new search, can you help me to use it right pls ?
usually i enter simple terms like "genesis boat" and with the "old search" i would get relevant threads.
with the new search i get all sorts of stuff... rcu ads, buy & sell ... i just want threads. if i click on the threads "title" and i get zilch.
please help, thanks V.

Yes Ken,,please explain what you're doing right,,

I have the same problem,, I search keywords I know I've used and get one irelivant result,, then I put my user name in there and get results of others using the keywords in threads I just happen to post in but not of me using the keywords,, frankly it's a joke
