Flair Puppeteer questions by Newby......
Hello all,
My background:- Retired and out of the game for 30 yrs or so....[ big family to take care of ], Have renewed my hobby and started with a Hpye glider and a Dynam Smart trainer. The glider is great but the Smart thinks it's an Exocet missile in disguise so has been hanger bound until my flying skill level can catch up !
Next, .........but actually my first build for a long time, is the wonderful Sopwith Scout. I've bought the Flair Mk2 kit and have some questions. With regard to the rigging wires, what do you use for the actual "wires" and how do you terminate them at their relevant connection points on wings and stabilisers to keep a constant pressure whilst at the same time , not taking forever to rig at the field?
I intend to control the surfaces with pull/pull closed loops and I have read somewhere that carbon fibre can be used. Is this stuff available in thread form and would any of you guys recommend it ? My feelings are that it has an enormous weight/strength advantages.
Looking forward to any dialogue.
Best rgds, Pete.

hey Pete WELCOME!
there's a pretty good build thread for that airplane...
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/kit-...angles-17.html
they start talking about the flying wires there about page 17.
I'm in the process of building a 1/3 scale Pup.
good luck!
