Get both, and you will find even more uses for them after you get them.

I find that a Dremel tool is limited as far as versatility as a drill due to its collet chuck.

Now, if you want an attachment for the Dremel tool that is versatile, get a router base for it.

Yep, I use the flexible shaft and have already worn one out..I am on number 2 now.

If you stick a Cialis tablet into the collet every morning the Dremel is always ready to "grind" & "drill". Much more spontanious than the "blue pill".

I have not yet invested in a drill press, but I did get a bench grinder, which gets a lot of use. If money is an object, you may spend less money on a grinder. If you can get both, though, go for it!
