Wow! One of the most bizarre things I have read in a long time! This is just messed up on so many levels it boggles the mind! Thinking like this is the reason we're up to our eyeballs in the septic tank!
What's a Canook know anyway go shovel. I don't AZ only get's snow in the mountians I get to fly about 333 days a year.

That's pretty much it. We all blame the country upstream for the weather. I think it's an international law to do so.

Spent 3 years, 3 months, 20 1/2 days but who was counting, stationed at K.I Sawyer AFB MI. 410th AMMS 65-68. One time there was a snow storm that made a snow drift that was around the back, side and half the front of the barracks level with the 3rd floor fire escape. That Storm Closed a SAC base, couldn't plow the 12000 ft runway ... No diesel fuel. We could get to the BX for BEER. we had a 3 day drunk
p.s. there were reports of at least snow Flurry's every month I was there, even in July and August.
Heck we had an EF 0 Tornado in Down Town Mesa AZ Saturday ... 1-2" of rain first in 70 days in Phoenix.
HoundDog.... I grew up 100 miles west of KI Sawyer and I remember that winter. I was 13 and the road commission asked us kids to find street signs and shovel them out. (Some were marked with sticks that extended their height but even those were buried.) Some roads would drift over with 8 feet of snow overnight, and I remember shovelling 18 inches of snow many mornings. Doesn't look like you made if very far from the U.P. though!

Bought the house I grew up in from my parents in 84 when they moved to Wickenburg AZ ... I live in Oconomowoc fo 6 mo and Apache JunctionAZ for 6 months so I get about 333 days a year.

I used to ride my bicycle to Bruces Crossing to buy aged cheddar cheese during our two weeks of summer from Ontonagon where I grew up. Send me a PM and tell me what your connection to Bruce Crossing is. And also... somewhere I have a photo of myself sitting on top of a Hound Dog, taken at Fairchild AFB, another B52 SAC base. The Hound Dog was quite the missile machine!

I got a charge out of the one who stated that he's glad Obama has resolved the global warming issue.

We are in Buffalo, and you know it's cold when both dogs won't get out of car to play.

I've found that one of those 2 - 3 channel $20 micro helicopters with infra-red transmitter does remove the edge of winter on a cold wind blown day by flying indoors. Kind of fun to learn to control and hover, take off from coffee table and land on nearby table.

Yep a long winter so I bought the Helimax 1Si been flying it at work and even tried it outside. Don't let the battery run out over the snow had to dig it out he he he thought I might have damaged the unit or the camera but everything seems ok. Neat way to pass the time.

After living in Alaska for 6 years flying in the cold is no big deal. Put some skis on and go for it. Some times its more ice than snow!

I think after the worm up Friday the runway will clear for jets flying just waiting and watching the cameras on the flying field.
