The BMFA held its University' heavy-lift challenge, today, at Elvington.
I wasn't there, but Rachael was ... and she told me some of what happened.
There were some 36 teams competing in two classes, IC and Electric.
Apparently, two teams were from China. It was their first attendance at this comp.... and they swept the board.... but, by a huge margin.
The electric comp involved the carriage of tennis balls. According to Rachael, the best British team carried about 60 balls in the allotted time... but, the Chinese managed to carry 226. I expect that they were flying HobbyKing gear, too.
Anyway, much kudos to all those involved. This will give a much-needed fillip to the Brits, who will hopefully raise their game for next year.
