This is not merely about advertising it is about informing the members of this community of what is new with RCSF. I apologize if my post has offended anyone but I placed it in this discussion for a reason. I also would like to thank a lot of you for your comments whether positive or negative because all of the comments allow us to grow as a magazine. I would like all of you to take the time to tell me what you would like to see from us in upcoming issues, because I have already discussed with my Boss that we must update our website with new blogs and information on all plane types (specifically glow because it is not featured enough). Once again I would like to thank all of you for welcoming me and I look forward to using all of your opinions on what you would like to see from a Flyer magazine to put out the best magazine we can for you.

Open up an old copy of RCM thats what I would like to see again. I'm one of those grumpy old farts. I subscribe to MAN(a gift) mostly an electric catalog,Flying models, and MA even if it didn't come with AMA

Excellent!

Oh and keep in mind that I believe the numbers quoted by Flycatch above is a more accurate mix at least my own and most of the fields I travel to for events.
It is curious my second club a permanent float flying site with facilitys when I first joined was almost exclusively glow but in recent years it was taken over almost completely with electric and I was one of only a few who flew glow. But in the last year this has changed and many have returned to glow/gas ships.

It depends what questions you ask. I fly electric, glow and gas planes and helicopters (and have a pulse jet sitting in the shop).
So I think many modelers are doing the same.
If you just ask them if they own glow engines, then you'll get this result.
The 40 to 60 size glow planes are still very popular and they have been neglected by most magazines.
And I'd like to see some prop jets and deltas...
We have some newbies who just go and buy some flimsy foamy because that's what's being advertised. Then they quickly loose interest because these things don't do too well with some wind.

Then if a plane is designed for both glow or electric, the reviewer uses electric.
AMA seems hell bent on reviving the Old Timers genre.
I have no problem with Old Timers, but all of their plan articles seem concentrated there.
I'd like to see stuff on 40-60 aerobatic and sport planes.
Just my observation.
Good Luck,
