What to do if I used too much CA?
I'm building my first plane, a Sig LT-40. My first job was to glue the spar doubler onto the main wing spar. Well, I used WAY too much CA! I'm almost positive that it will show through when it's time to cover the wing. I've attempted to sand the clumps off but that doesn't work very well. The best thing I've found is to chip it off the best I can with my knife but surely there is another/better way. I'm tempted to rub it with acetone but I'm afraid that will negatively affect the wood. Any suggestions?

Greetings and Welcome to the R/C Universe!
Perhaps a Dremel (aka moto tool ) with their sanding drum.
It,s the fastest way that I know. http://www.dremel.com I think is it.
But most hobby shops have them.
Might wear a dust mask for safety too.
Cheers

A mill file works really well too. If you have to use blue tape to mask around the area your sanding for protection. It will keep you from sanding away wood you don't want to. CA is easier to sand if you catch your mistake right away. The longer it sets the harder it gets.
