It was a humdinger of a spectator sport last night. The next 4 years are going to be interested but I can't help feel sorry for him a little. You can say you are going to run the government like a business but they are two totally different animals with totally different sets of laws and methods of operation. I think he is going to be unpleasantly surprised and the frustration is going to kill him. His one saving grace is he does understand negotiation but his hand is weak when it comes to political capital.

Trump will not use a phone and a pen. He will use Air Force One, he will give speeches all over the country and Congress will get more letters and calls than they can stand.

I can tell you how this happened, We the people are fed up with run of the mill lifetime politicians, thats how. Oh PLEASE get Term Limits Trump, PLEASE!!! That would make for the largest change that will correct the down slide our country has taken. Also I think their bias had something to do with it, I mean, after all, a few of them were so shell shocked they were in tears, and not happy tears.
I laugh at all of those people that were stumped at how this happened. Most of the people that I am around (not my flying buddies, but people like my clients and such) thought I was losing my mind as I have been predicting this for the last 6 months. They thought that there was no way that Trump was going to beat HRC. But I kept telling them that America was going to show herself and that we were ready to take back our Country and start fixing thing. And for all those people that are laughing about the guy that we have just elected into office. I also remember that back in 1980 a lot of people were also laughing when when we elected an aging "B" movie actor as our President. But the world wasn't laughing when he was finished. I have a feeling that we are going to be seeing quite a lot of that same timbre that we saw from Reagan when he was President. I think that this country and the world is going to be for something that they haven't seen in a long time. The Pride is back.

I learned a long time ago nothing is certain in elections. I remember what my dad said about the Truman Dewey election and how he didn't think Truman had a ghost of a chance but voted for him anyway.

11 minutes after the state of Israel was born, President Truman officially recognized it's existence.
6 months later, God returned the favor.
Don't mess with the King.

I came across this on Facebook and thought it was well written and to the point. Of course if its going to be an issue here, I wont be offended if it gets deleted.

People need to do their own research on Mr Donald Trump, and stop listening to the slandering, splicing and dicing of the demonic led media!!!
This is a man who was raised by two hard working people, parents who sent him to military school where he could gain the respect, admiration and love for America's military.
This is a man whose father put him to work in the trenches when he was just a young boy, working along-side the blue-collar workers that Mr. Trump loves so much. This is a man who went to college and got not one degree but TWO, A man who has an IQ of over 156, A man who was fighting for minorities from way back! Google your history, this is a man who fought the state of Florida because they tried to keep blacks and Jews out of the country clubs so he built Mira Lago in order for them to have a place to go. Donald Trump is a man who received one of the highest awards given by the Rainbow Coalition, an organization that fights for inner-city children!! This is a man who hired people from all over the world, creating jobs for thousands.
Not once in his whole life time was he EVER considered bigoted, racist, or sexist, until he decided to run for president so that America wouldn't be swallowed up into the pit of hell where the Clinton machine was taking us.
This is a man who NEVER says "I", he always says "WE"
I thank God for Donald Trump! I thank God that he stepped out and boldly took on these lying, demonic, pundits, who spew nothing but hatred and division!!
I'll admit that he wasn't my first choice, Dr. Ben Carson was my first choice, but when he endorsed Donald Trump, I knew that it hadn't been done without a lot of prayer. I went and saw Donald Trump speak, and not once did I see the man that the CNN, MSNBC, CBS, and ABC lying sneaky, deceptive, disingenuous news media spoke about.
I researched him after that and what I found was a GREAT American, Who has gone out of his way for so many others. His children are a classic example of what that man is!! All of them, respectful, courteous, educated, and giving!
If you haven't seen him in person and listened to him speak, without the slicing and dicing of the slandering hate filled news media, you DONT know him, or what he stands for, and that's your loss.

Beautifully written. I've heard some of these stories, and more - especially from various veterans. The man is a patriot, but more than that, he's really a compassionate human being with his head on straight. We need more like him.

(edited) "Protests", already? What is there to "protest"?

Its the MSM bred individuals who were spoon fed the lies and they believe them. Really sad how our generation seems to be the last one that has any common sense, or intelligence for that matter. Probably because from the start we had to earn what we got. I know a few people in my family(inlaws) who were supporting the other one, and are upset. Funny how you can't communicate with them about this, they are so steadfast in their ways that you can put the truth right there in black and white and they can't accept it.

Don't know, one of the mysteries of the universe I guess.

BTW worked on my B-25 some more. Finished sheeting the bottom section between the nacelles, and built one flap. It's not finished yet, have to put the hinge block and flap hinge in before I can finish sheeting it, but its looking good.

Let us hope that the leaders of the great nations of the world today are wiser than those of the past, or at least better informed.

Sorry for the slow response.

I truly have not considered the affect of the gull wing other than increased stability. The video's I've seen show the bulldog to be a stable flyer with no bad habits that does what it was designed to do.

the vertical stab area was increasesd at least one time, why? I can't say.

I don't know if i'll ever fly my B'dog.

I got more work done on my B-25 and discovered that the plans and the real plan are a wee bit different. The inboard flaps on the plans match the three view and possibly early models, but the one I am modelling is based on the J model and the flaps on that follow the angle of the nacelle, where the plans so it breaking about 2/3rd back and coming in towards the fuse, probably to clear the nacelles bulge. Now I have to check to see if there is a variance between nacelles on the early version compared to the J version. I was also told that the Ziroli plans for the fuse are off a bit where the top turret is, it should be flatter that what it shows. Going to pick up a plastic model of a J and compare.

We can hope, but the most horrific war the planet has ever known lies ahead in the future.

In my view, if there is ever a war between the major industrial nations again, like the two world wars, there will be one enormous bang and that would be that.

I am heartened that the English cricket team, playing in Rajkot, India against the Indian national side, paused for two minutes yesterday, prior to the start of play to remember in silence those who had fallen in two world wars and subsequent conflicts defending the values which we all hold dear. Cricket is played with a bat and a ball like baseball, but after that the comparison breaks down. Among the eleven men who made up the English team were four English-born Moslems: Moin Ali, Adil Rashid, Zafar Ansari who has an English mother and Haseeb Hamid, who is only nineteen years old and is performing excellently in his first international game.

Let us hope that we remember that we have more in common than divides us.

I went to the local clubs swapmeet and got this My last one was smashed back in the fifties, and it seems to work.

The fellow I purchased it from had these on the table and it reminded me of what someone said in this thread so He took pics. curiosity had us open the transmitter because it felt heavy and I feared the batteries were in it. upon opening it up we found it good condition and packed with these to make up a complete 27 mhz radio. It's available so let me know if your interested I'll put you in touch with the owner. Does anyone recognize the receiver?

I love swapmeets!

That's a neat find, Donny. It is a Citizenship Model 27 super regenerative receiver. My 1953 DeBolt 34" span Livewire Kitten plan illustrates its installation.

In 1953, it was "state of the art".
