old timers look here must be 50+ years only

Oh I drive very good, I stayed in my lane the entire time! Now that took a lot of skill to broadside another truck in my lane and keep it straight and in the same lane.

Now the difficult part begins, outfitting the new truck. Have to get new floor liners, bedrug and the hardest part, a new topper. Since this model is only 3 years old, finding a used one will be difficult if not impossible. I also need to sell the stuff I pulled out that I can't use, the floor liners, the Bedrug and the topper. I also contacted a lawyer and waiting on a call back to discuss if I have a case or not to recover some of my losses.
I can say one thing, my new truck is PURDY!!! Love the Ruby Red color. Hope the deer stay away from this one, and as long as they do I know I will have the truck a long time.

A bit over 2 years ago a drunk driver decided to occupy my lane - at 8 AM - on a two lane road and just last week the insurance settled. The Minimum limits in AZ is $25,000 and he totaled both my truck and another car! Guess what - he had 25K in total liability! Hope yours goes better.....

Ouch....that must have really hurt. So glad the your injuries were not more serious....so much to give God thanks for as it could so easily have been much worst.

karolh, not to argue with your sig line "When inverted always remember that down is up and visa versa" but the way I was taught to remember it is that you ALWAYS push the nose towards the wheels and you pull the nose away from the wheels. It works no matter what position you're in.

We are supposed to have a pretty massive winter storm come through here Sunday afternoon through Monday evening. Right now they aren't talking a lot of snow, but it could be a LOT of freezing rain and ice. I can handle snow, but I hate ice with a passion. If it gets as bad as they say it might, I'll just call in to work and tell them "Nope. Ain't gonna do it!" I'll get half an attendance point, unless 1/3 of the plant does the same, then it's nothing. 8 points in one years time and you're gone. I might have 1 or 2, so I'm not worried.

I slid my fat ar$e down my driveway, checked the road, found it one sheet of ice, slid my fat Ar$e back to the house and sent an email saying too icy to drive, working from home. Got a response from the boss saying Me Too. The roads are ice free for the most part, but not my driveway, it is even slicker now with the rain on top of it. Been raining here, 29* and raining is the worst! My rental truck is covered in ice too. I have to take it back today, but I don't want to drive. Still a bit traumatized from last Wednesday.

Sounds like a bad pickup line you use in the pub. Not too differnt than the t-shirt a buddy use to wear to bars.
His nickname was Uncle Perv!
Looking at the old truck I don't think laminating plywood with epoxy to reinforce what's left of the existing side will work so I guess you had to buy a new truck.
The new F-150 Lariat looks good even if the bed is too short for my tastes.I hope it last long enough to wear out in 300K+ miles!
I shaped the leading edge of the middle wing of the DR.1 and go it epoxied to the plate so I can start building the turtleback over it. The plastic one in the kit is a non-starter I don't like it. I'll use it as a guide to build one out of thin plywood. I notched the top Cabane blocks I just need to epoxy them in place. I replace the horizontal stab's spruce leading edge I couldn't cut hinge slots it was so hard. I also correct the length of the front mounting plate to get a better fit. I also discovered the fuselage front mounting plate for the stab is too low on one side so I'll ether need a longer screw or cut it loose and reglue it. Opinions? Pictures below for your amusement. Speaking of amusement sanding the balsa of the leading edge triggered a massive allergic reaction, I have never been allergic to balsa before. I see dust masks in my future!

Yeah, the last truck had the short bed too, not many long beds are available. It still worked out OK for my purposes though with the topper on I had plenty of room for my planes and gear. A topper makes the bed look longer than it is too.

I've just received an email from the French electricity board warning me that we are in for a cold snap and how to conserve electricity. We've had very little snow so far even though the village I live in is over 380 metres (1250 ft) above sea level but the temperature has been close to freezing for weeks. It's made for good model building weather though, picture of my Baron attached.
I was just wondering karolh, what is the weather like in Jamaica at the moment?
