This my Biplane with a Super tigre 2300 it has a 16 oz tank and uses about 13 oz in 15 min. I just buy methanol at a race car shop for about $3/ gal. and mix in 10% castor. It has very realistic performance compared to some thing like 180 hp Pitts. With hundreds of flights maybe 3 engine outs. With full throttle top speed in level flight pull up to vertical it looks to me like it runs out at about 300' of climb.

Or maybe the engine was overheating and a look at the airflow was in order.
However, to revert to your original question, I own the 25cc version of this engine and that was the original engine used in the DB Sport and Scale 1/4 scale SE5. Their 88 inch wingspan Hawker Hurricane also used the same engine. That gives you plenty of scope!

Other than replacing the connectors on the leads, older servos work fine, as long as you stay at 4.8v. I found they don't work well at 6v. I bought a plane for the engine that I used on my Something Extra and put an OS on it instead, then when I went to fly it, I kept getting servo jitter. Found out the 5 cell pack I was using was causing it, so put in a 4 cell pack and jitter went away. I tried using 4.8v rated servos on another plane that I use LiFe pack for the RX, servos would not work at all unless I used a regulator in the harness.
So if you use older servos, just keep in mind they don't work well with higher voltages.

I think the ringmaster was one of my first built Airplanes for control line. I started flying back in the mid 60s with the Cox .049 plastic control line planes. I got into control line aerobatics with the flying wings and I remember that orange glue that often failed. Silk span and dope was the norm. My first larger plane was the ringmaster of which I crashed and built several. We moved out to the country in South Carolina when I was in the eighth grade. No hobby shop no way to get what I wanted to fly. It wasn't until I was in my late 40s after the military before I got into R/C. For various health reasons (disabled veteran) I have been in and out of the Hobby every since. I still love to fly just don't get to do it as often as I would like to.

I'm running a few of my older servos on 6 volt, without issues.

I was thinking the 148's came out in the early 80's . The old monster I started with in the late 70's had 128's I think. Sounds like a question for someone with a younger mind . lol ENJOY !!! RED

Speaking of old stuff.. I built my home over 30 years ago and took extra effort to prevent problems and reduce required maitenance. well three days ago I found a water puddle in the dining room and just knew it was a spill, two days later another puddle a few feet away from the last and the wife said the floor beside the stove was hot .......well today I am faced with a hot water leak under the slab.
I have no intent to tear up my slab so I am considering running a new line thru the attic with some of that plastic hosing or running a pvc line on the outside of the house, I have a lot of pvc pipe so thats the way I will probably go till then the hot water is turned off and the floor is dry.
when in heavens name do I get a chance to just chill out? I have been making repair for the last four months, as soon as I get some stuff cleared from my land a for sale sign goes up.
