Not the little ones available to download but R1 and R2 . These run down the middle of the plane , one in the center and the other next to it . Do the pommie mags have these formers in their plan ? If so could someone scan them for me ? Cheers
There was some concern in the UK about the missing formers on the 362 free plan in the UK. It was raised in the thread below on the RCM&E website. Perhaps it may be of some help Pope.

As a more general point it appears that the print media is going downhill fast. It's a good job that I got my Bristol Blenheim plan from Traplet last month. Whether I'll now be able to get the engine cowlings is another point.

Arfs are ok but do nothing to the skill set of the users, it makes me laugh to here someone say "I built a arf" and it appears the arf craze is wearing thin because to me it has no substance. nothing can compare with that rush one receives when his workmanship grabs some sky and does or does not perform and requires some form adjustment.

Have you noticed the mags that centered on the arf craze of buy and fly didn't last for long? All they contained was a bunch of ads. But look at the mags. that occasionally put a set of plans or construction articles in them, are still around.
substance that's what keeps mags alive, not a bunch of glitter to buy this or that. In otherwords the mag's have too much concern for the profit they are making from advertisements and not giving the modeler what he needs.

We need things that stimulate our brains, not our wallets.
Interesting what people like and don't like, there's an entire thread of Facebook bashing the cover of the "how to" issue.

And tele I did read that thread before but must have glossed over one of the posts that said that the formers is on the Chica plan that was missing from my mag . let's hope so , do u have this edition ? Just to confirm this .
l was talking to my newsagent about not seeing some of the mags in the racks and was told that they only get one or two as they were sending too many back so they weren't getting as many . Now I have to plan ahead to make sure I get a copy of one I'm after . Life's tough .
The crapy OZ mag has gone up in price to match the pomie one so its just not good value at all . I think this thread will inspire me to cancel the Oz one .cheers

Pope I haven 't bought a magazine in years so I suppose I am guilty, at least in part, of bringing about the demise of RCMW, so no, I can't help you by consulting the magazine.

I have more build projects lined up than I will ever be able to complete including Peter Russell's larger delata the 363, so never saw much point in buying a magazine and I only bought one if there was something of particular interest in it.

The plan of the 363 is available on The Outerzone. Perhaps you can use the formers from that suitably scaled down to suit the smaller model if the worst came to the worst.

Fingers crossed that the missing bits are on the other plan . According to RCM&E they have already sent out the missing plan . Whether thats just the plan or the whole mag Im not sure although it doesnt realy matter , if its a extra mag I will give it to one of my flying buddies . I thought this one would good to do a glow conversion hopefully . I have a couple of 25's lying around . I read that the original had a 19 in it . I dont want to buy anymore engines so even if I scale it down a bit to suit a 15 might be the go . Cheers

I can't make up my mind about which engine to fit into my 363 delta. https://www.google.fr/search?q=Image...VUCb86FKfoJRM:

I have a number of two strokes in the 40-53 range from OS, Super Tigre, Irvine and Enya, including a particularly nice OS 40 rear exhaust engine. However, Peter Russell designed this model to use a side mounted engine because he thought that a cylinder stuck up in the breeze spoiled the lines of his model and if I were to use that engine, it's my only option.

A clubmate in England built a 363 powered by an electric motor which flew very well. That remains an option.

I haven't bought a model mag in years, but when I did, it was RCM. Ordering plans from them was easy, but the time it took to get them was out of reason. The last plans I bought were Santich's magnum 40, and the RCM Basic Bipe.

When the mags started to review more than publish plans, I stopped buying them. I've seen a lot of foamie electrics, but never liked how they flew. Pretty easy to tell when the reviewer isn't a builder and probably never flew a scratch or kit build. Gotta agree with Donny, watching your work grab air, then feeling it respond to your controls gives it added satisfaction.

Rich.

I subcribe to the mags to keep myself up to date on what is happening in the modeling world, and every now and then pick up on a new idea or tehcnique. as far as plans go the mags of today can't afford to produce a set of plans that would hold my interest due to the cost but sometimes have one that I would consider scaleing up to suit my desires.

But most of all I need to be occupied when sitting in my "throne room" on my porcelian throne.
