Donny did you get hit by that ice storm last night? It closed the schools and churches and really made driving to work a nightmare here.

Can anyone tell me if the satin finish fabric woven Solartex covering is still available and if so from where. I am on the hunt for some black to cover my profile model's canopy but can't find it anywhere.

Solarfilm Sales Ltd is selling off stock now that Solarfilm has ceased production.

Solartex Black is still available but the minimum order is 5 metres so rather more than you need karolh. https://solarfilm.co.uk/products/sol...t=990302208044

Thanks for this info but 'ouch', as 5 metres is certainly lots more than I will ever need. I wonder if anyone here has any and would consider selling me a 12" wide strip.

This is my third attempt to respond................. No! we got cold and have some ice flakes bouncing around but nothing sticking, and it's still falling in a on off fashion.

I got home just before it got too cold and crashed in front of the TV. So it will be video time for me today, no way I'm going outside.

Yesterday was T shirt weather in the morning. By afternoon it was heavy coat weather. Worked inside so not too bad until I went outside. Wood burning stove has been going since yesterday. One more day then a little warm up.

Donny, I believe your problem is the frozen weather we are having. Electrons can’t flow. But not a problem in East Texas.

Karolh, I’m an El Cheapo builder. Canopy out of foam covered in Chinakote. LOL.

You may uncross them now karolh!

I have about four square feet of black Solartex left, that's about 600mm x 600mm for those more used to the metric system. Let me know how much you need, PM me your postal address and I'll send it on to you on Monday.

It is pretty cool, Telemaster and Karolh have just demonstrated a classic case of international cooperation. why can't our governments do the same?

I haven't been able to post lately because my system has been extremely slow to load. a bunch of dinking around seems to have helped speed things up.

We have another swap meet tomorrow, my motorhome is primed for the trip but a lot of stuff still needs fixing but will have to wait. I will try to remember my camera so I can show you guy's some of the goodies.

When I get back here my wife's car is waiting for me to finish a water pump replacement, at least I think that is what is raising hell, no matter what it is history and I may do the harmonic balance as well it don,t look too good either.

Tomorrow is supposed to be in the eighties so we should have a nice meet.

I just finished rebuilding my laptop. From day one it ran like crap, slow all the time. It has a dual core i5 processor and 8GB ram and should not be this slow. Well, I found that Superfetch was causing the issues, so I went into services and disabled it. 80% improvement! Was still not perfect, so bought a solid state hard drive and installed a fresh copy of Windows after making a recovery stick. Now it works the way it should. Boots up quickly, programs start immediately. Only took me 2 or more years to get around to it.

It may not be widely known within these circles but I have fronted rock bands for the last fifty years. More recently I've been accompanying myself on an accoustic guitar at Open Mic Nights.

Secondly, most of you are respectable married gentlemen who've been happily living with the same woman for decades, whereas I have been more or less on my own for over twenty years. You'll see where this is going in a minute!

Are there any songs which celebrate finding love in later life?

Picture of my dinner date, St Valentine's Day 2019.

St Valentine's Day 2019. Cost me an absolute fortune but worth every penny!

Congrats, Telemaster, a nice evening to behold, congrats. My tastes for music are a bit more lively, here's another seasonal song, I'll Remember April.

And of course even more appropriate where you are at, April in Paris.

Garden Ridge swapmeet

Glad to see valentines day happily celebrated!

my weekend trip to a swap meet wore me out! My brakes failed, a hour later I was side swiped by a huge truck, and traffic was horrific. the one and a half hour trip lasted five hours plus!.......... I was frazzled the entire weekend.

A lot of good bargains were to be had, I found a brand new R/C magnum .10 for ten bucks couldn't remember who was looking for one, and a BUD NOSEN kit sold for fifty bucks only because I convinced the lady to increase her price from $25. she was going to put it in the trash.
The pictures are too big to post more.
