Gas engine battery size

Gas engine battery size
What's a reasonable mAH size for a 6V battery pack providing ignition for a single cylinder gas engine? I fly perhaps 3 or 4 ten minutes flight per outing. Thanks

I believe the typical ignition draws about 200-300mA at full throttle (although I may be thinking about a twin). I've run a small gasser (20cc) ignition and radio off the same 2200mah LiIon. A 1200mah battery should do what you want.

It depends on the engine and the ignition. Some small engines have hungry ignition boxes while a larger twin may have a very efficient one.
I agree on a 2200mah pack for most engines. I have a 10cc running a 2200 life and I can run all day @ 30min flight times. I have a 20cc with a hungry ignition box and only get 2 flights out of a 2200 pack. My 30,40 and 60cc planes are good on 2200 packs for 3-4 flights.
