Default great planes 60 size j3 cub engine question

I have a great planes 60 size j3 cub i bought as a partial kit. I would like to know what size gas engine would work to give it 3D performance. As much as I've looked, I'm still confused. I was going to put an old OS 90 surpass on it but I think I would rather make the leap to gas. Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks......Bear

Prop recommendation would also be helpful..... Going for vertical performance, not blinding speed....

Well, You can put as big an engine as you want, this one will never 3D well, I too have one, clipped wing with a 91 surpass, flies great, but with barn door ailerons it will never 3d..

I'd put a dle20ra on it and have fun,,
